Bannockburn battlefield site could be sold to developers


The site of Robert the Bruces famous win over the English in 1314 is to be left off the governments list of protected historical sites.

In theory, this means that the site on the southern edge of Stirling could be sold to developers and become a residential development.

The reason for the sites exclusion from the protected list seems to be that battle did not have enough participants.
